John began his entrepreneurial journey by developing Mancha Hardscapes Pools & Spas - Birmingham's premier builder for outdoor living spaces. They uniquely specialized in creating custom spaces for homeowners including swimming pools, outdoor kitchens, and more. Over the past five years, John expanded his business by developing a concrete division, which has already serviced over 500+ homeowners and builders in and around the Birmingham area. Having created a successful business within the community, it was only natural for John to be approached as a main key investor in the Buck Creek BnB project.

After the opportunity was presented, John saw a way to scale his business model once more to include construction and from there with the help of his partner, Daniel Statum, Mancha Construction Partners LLC (MCP LLC) was born. ⁠
